Starting from a small family business, after 27 years of effort, Yuan Feng has become the largest manufacturer of steel and aluminum wheels in the automotive parts industry in Taiwan . Now Yuan Feng has almost 1000 employees, 680 in Taiwan 's factories and 310 in China . The total annual sales volume of its steel and aluminum wheels exceeds 4 million. Yuan Feng is now the head of this industry; in addition, the quality goods it produced were approved by international businesses. Now these products are exported at a large quantity to Japan , the U.S. , and Europe . It is expected that this year its turnover will reach NT$ 3 billion. After raising the ratio of the product gross profit, the turnover next year is expected to increase by 30%. Such an outstanding performance has become the benchmark target of other businesses in the industry. The success of Yuan Feng comes from one word – teamwork.

Follow the market trend and take the opportunity to transform
Ji-Sheng Huang, vice president of Yuan Feng, talked about its history. He said that Yuan Feng was first established in central Taiwan . In the beginning, Yuan Feng mainly manufactured tricycles and then trucks. Afterwards, Taiwan 's economy took off and the economic environment changed greatly, so the government proposed strategic policies to protect domestic industries. The automotive parts and accessories industry was part of the policy, which required all automotive related industries to reach a 70% of self production rate. With the government's assistance, consultation and subsidies, Yuan Feng took this opportunity to transform and became the largest manufacturer of motor steel wheels. Yuan Feng got the order from Ford Motor because of its high quality products. Then Yuan Feng became the provider of many other major motor businesses, which had tremendously increased its sales volume over the years.

Because the international trend demands lighter and more gas economic automobiles, most motor factories require their satellite factories to use more aluminum wheels. Aluminum wheels are now listed as the standard equipment of new automobiles. Huang said that aluminum is light, recyclable, and environmentally friendly. Aluminum makes products light and compact. In addition, aluminum is beautiful, durable, light and easy to process. Using aluminum is good in making effective use of resources and reducing waste. Yuan Feng, as always, followed this trend and started to produce aluminum wheels.

Huang said that, when Yuan Feng started to produce aluminum wheels, Kobelco offered technical support and enhanced Yuan Feng's quality. In the domestic market, Yuan Feng is a satellite factory of Yulon Motor and China Motor. It also exports its products to Japan , the U.S. , Europe and other countries. Yuan Feng is also the only professional manufacturer, which produces both steel and aluminum wheels. According to Huang's analysis, 10 years ago, Yuan Feng's steel wheels accounted for 70% of Taiwan 's steel wheel market, and aluminum wheels 30%. Now the percentage of aluminum wheel has increased to 70% while steel wheels declined to 30%. With a well adjusted product structure, Yuan Feng greatly increased its turnover. Its profit rate also became the benchmark of the industry.
